AGENDA ITEM: Chamber of Deputies 1913-1918
The Chamber of Deputies of the Kingdom of Italy is the lower house of the Parliament of the Kingdom of Italy and serves as the main legislative body. It is responsible for proposing, debating, and voting on bills. Deputies of the chamber have the right to question ministers of the government and debate upon the policies and status of the nation, while further pushing their agendas and advocating for their parties’ interests in Italy, whether it be the liberals who are dominant over the country thinking about completing the national unity, or social-democrats who desires national reforms.
The deputies are expected to talk about the nation's status and rising tensions in Europe, avoid, intervene, or mediate the conflicts that may break out between certain countries, and debate their internal affairs, such as maintaining control and order over Libya, Mezzogiorno —southern Italy— or the organized crime that is on the rise. In conclusion, the fate of the Kingdom of Italy is in the hands of firstly Vittorio Emanuele III, then the deputies.
